Protein Packed Peanut Butter Ice Cream

This is a great alternative to high calorie ice cream and perfect for those hot summer days. No need to indulge in the sugar loaded store bought ice cream. Make this healthy alternative that's just as tasty and takes only 5 minutes to prepare. It's delicious, simple, and there's no need to buy an ice cream maker, your food processor or a good quality blender would do the trick.

Ingredients:

1 Scoop Whey Protein Powder ( I'm using Bsn Lean Dessert Vanilla)
1 frozen banana (remember to peel BEFORE freezing)
1 TBS Peanut Butter or PB2
1/4 cup Almond Milk
3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

A dash of cinnamon (optional)

Directions:

Mix protein in bowl with almond milk to create a creamy mix
Add frozen banana
Add peanut butter
Add as much almond milk as needed
Mix together in food processor or blender

Note: Depending on your preferred consistency feel free to play around with the amounts per ingredient. For a thicker creamy consistency use less milk or none at all.

If you don't have the best quality blender and your mixture is little runny you can put it in the freezer for a bit to thicken it up.

You can use other types of frozen fruits like strawberries, pineapple, mango, blueberries or peaches.

Bon Appetit =)
