Simple Ways To Detox Everyday

Our body is exposed to toxins all the time. How do we go about detoxing on a daily basis? Detoxing involves cleansing the body with certain foods and supplements while also reducing inflammation in the digestive tract.  Although our bodies are designed to be self - healing the toxins from our food, beauty products, antibiotics, and medicines can overwhelm our bodies. Taking simple actions and building healthy daily habits can go a long way in helping to cleanse your body from all the toxins it must fight off everyday. Here are some simple ways to detox everyday:

HOT WATER & LEMON FOR BREAKFAST

Lemon helps your body fight off disease, stimulate digestion, and cleanse your liver. Replace your morning cup of coffee with the healthier alternative of hot water and lemon.

GET A MASSAGE

Massages physically move the toxins out of your body by pushing them through and out of muscles. Schedule a weekly rubdown to reduce your stress level and assist in ridding your body of toxins.

EAT MORE FIBER

Fiber intake is the one most over looked dietary requirements for a healthy lifestyle. The reason adding fiber food to our body is to maintain digestive system healthy and functioning properly. Fiber help speeds up the emission of waste and toxins from our body. It prevents waste and toxins to stay in intestine or bowel for too long, to avoid several diseases. Moreover, fiber averts constipation problem and encourage normal bowel movements. When we add rich fiber food in our diet, waste material passes through the body quickly and don’t stay in the intestines or bowel for long time, toxins are not able to accumulate. This is very important in the avoidance of painful diseases such as bowel cancer, constipation, hemorrhoids, diverticulitis and irritable bowel syndrome. Fiber foods is also the one best way food to control your weight.

LOAD UP ON VITAMIN C

Vitamin C helps the body produce glutathione, a liver compound that drives away toxins. Help your liver function properly and make sure you get a sufficient amount of vitamin C from foods like fresh peppers, broccoli, oranges, kiwis, and strawberries.

DRINK WATER

This is one of my favorites. Staying hydrated helps your body rid itself of waste and toxins. Try to drink between eight to twelve glasses of water per day. If you don't like water add some lemon or cucumbers to add some flavor and added health benefits.

SWEAT IT OUT

A daily visit to the sauna will help you eliminate wastes through perspiration. Hot air helps your blood vessels open up and improves the flow of toxins and wastes through your body. A sauna is one of the fastest and best ways to relax and detoxify your body. Saunas promote perspiration - and the more you sweat, the more toxins you release. Take a moment to unwind in the sauna after a workout, or spend a few hours at your local spa. Saunas not only release toxins, but promote weight loss.

GREEN TEA

Green tea is known for all sorts of wonderful health benefits and it’s another way to detox your body. Drinking green tea provides your body with tons of antioxidants called catechins, which increase liver functions and actually speed up activity in the liver. Green tea also boosts immunity, boosts stamina and counteracts fatigue and lack of energy, so drink up!

GINGER

If you've read my blog before you'll know that I've got a borderline obsession with this little gem. And if you’re not a fan of this spice already, I've got some pretty convincing reasons to give it a try it and incorporate it into your diet! Ginger is another liver cleanser that helps it to get rid of free radicals, but it’s also has anti-inflammatory properties and helps alleviate digestive disorders. You can mince ginger and add it to stir-fry dishes, add it to your homemade dressing or grate it and add it to drinks!

FRESH FRUIT

Besides helping satisfy our sweet tooth, another great reason to eat nature’s candy is to help detoxify our bodies! Fruits contain lots of nutrients, antioxidants and fiber to cleanse out our system. Citrus fruits are a great choice because they aid the liver in cleansing and amp up the GI system with enzymatic processes. Start swapping sugar-laden snacks with healthy and tasty fruit and feel the difference.
LENTILS

We’re frequently encouraged to include legumes in our diets and now I see why! Lentils are low in calories, help increase energy and are high in fiber to aid in elimination. If you’re vegetarian or vegan, lentils are a great source of protein and they help regulate blood sugar levels. Try eating lentils in soups, add them to salads or include them in your next stir-fry.
DRY BRUSHING

Dry brushing your skin can stimulate blood and lymph flow to your skin, which can nourish your skin cells. Our blood carries oxygen and nutrients and also helps carry away wastes from working cells, so this is an important feature of dry brushing. Increasing your blood flow is kind of like cleaning your skin from the inside!

LIMIT SUGAR INTAKE

Too much sugar in your diet can have a toxic effect on your body. The more sugar you consume, the more insulin your body produces. This can strain your pancreas and trigger chronic fatigue. Plus, an out-of-control sugar habit increases your risk for diabetes and extra pounds.

GO GREEN

Toxins aren’t only in the foods we eat, but also the chemicals and products we use. Each time you disinfect your home or use personal hygiene products, you risk exposure to harmful environmental pollutants. Exposure may not cause immediate harm, but it can affect your health in the future. Consider eco-friendly household and personal hygiene products.
GO ORGANIC

Yes, organic foods are more expensive. But if you’re serious about detoxing your body, organic is the way to go. These foods are produced without the use of pesticides or other synthetic materials, making them a safer alternative. Shop at grocery stores that specialize in organic foods, or browse the organic section of your nearest grocery store.

The best way to initially cleanse your body is to avoid the toxic substances you have control over, such as coffee, alcohol, cigarettes, hydrogenated fats, sugars, and chemicals from hygiene products. Reducing the stress in your life will also help your body cleanse itself from toxins

The less toxins in your body, the better you’ll feel. Make your health a priority and take steps to rid your body of toxins that can contribute to sluggishness and diseases. When was your last detox? What is your favorite detox method?
